    Hi,

Like the title says. Is it worth me being on the front page of lets say Google but be in the 10th position, would this still bring me a decent amount of traffic? Or do I have to get into the top 3 to get some traffic?

Ive only every done PPC so not to sure how to approach SEO.

    Thanks.

believe me its worth even to be in the second page and the 15th I made multiple sales from a keyword which gets low search rate

One of the gold mine SEO opportunities is when you are 15th to 25th and you're getting hits to your site. That means the people searching aren't finding what they're looking for in all the results ahead of you. Those are keywords that you should target to try to bump them up the list. If you get them to the first page (even 10th) and have a good page description that is a call to action you'll get a ton of hits on that term.

Depends if it is a high volume search term. Interestingly 10th gets more clicks than 9th! Typically the top 3 results get the vast majority of the traffic though.

My experience is that being the first one on the second page will be better than 10th.

most of the time website that shows in 8-10 position got a lot of traffics than the sites that shows in 5-7 position because whenever people search they scroll down the window to find more related sites and their eyes caught the attention on the space at the bottom and the nearest position on that is number 10 rank, so most of the time 8-10 position have more traffics than 5-7 rank.
