August earnings is down!!!

anybody noticed this. This august, the number of orders with Paypal and even adsense earnings gone down!!!

anybody experiencing this?

Personally i have seen little change.

You are best however comparng results over a longer period of time, remember we are only 6 days into the month, so a lot could change.
You should also bear in mind it's summer, and many people are on holiday etc so not at work/school/home, so you would expect some sort of trend reduction in earnings

 

I go through sperts. The last 7 days has been good for me, the 7 days before that were poor. Overall though, I consistently make about the same each month.

 

I would think it is because of the School holiday and people are away with the Kids.

 

August is usually slower then most months considering it the the summer and people aren't on the computer as much.

I have a P/L chart that I've used since 2005 that tracks my monthly profits. While the numbers are different (thankfully heading up every year) the trend is remarkably similar on a month by month basis. Typically, Jan to May tend to be good especially if you're selling digital information, the summer slips, Sept to Nov picks up a little and December is a write off as people prance about at office parties slurping on egg nog!

It's an interesting point though - when do you start to worry about earnings going down? Three months in a row? After some industry changing event (google slap etc)?

 

August is just a month and we are only 6th now so just wait

 

okay.. thanks for mentioning this.. i have seen the same and here is what scares me.

recently i was trying to add skype credit to my account (note that skype is the same company as paypal). okay, i have had funds in my paypal account but you know what? at the payment page, skype shows me that there is a problem with paypal and i should try later. funny thing is that i paid with the same credit card using the mastercard option in skype that is regd. in my PP account. I also had enough funds in PP to pay too.

i mean how can you trust them to collect payments for our company when they can't event collect for their own..

P.S. it has now become okay again, but i had big problems with the signup on the 3,4,5th.

We are only 7 days in to the month, but yes earnings slow down in the summer.

I would actually have to disagree. Adsense and other ad payment programs are all pretty stable from last month though my amazon referrals from a couple of my sites have actually skyrocketed. (no abrupt changes in traffic or changes in advertising either.. just more ordering.)

 

MIne has improved!

 

It’s happening now and then, nothing unusual.

Same thing every year, unless you have some sites about holidays, travel etc
