    Hey there everyone,

I got a site that recieved with the following stats:

About 300 unique views per day.
    Over 46 000 unique views a month.
PR: 2 (so cant really sell links)

Adsense for this site does not work well as there is way too much competition in the market. I may be looking to sell it but I thought maybe some guys got some metonization tips apart from adsense.

Thanks in advance and rep will be left + for your effort.

    (30 x 300 uniques is 9000 a month, not 46,000 :S )

Depending on what sort of site you have different sorts of techiniqes will work better.
For instance your site may perform well with CPA ads from CJ or NeverBlue Ads, or it may perform badly with CPA but brilliantly with pop-ups.
It really depends on the sites spec.
If you want anymore more tips, feel free to PM me.

Maybe tell us more about the site: is it a forum, a niche site, etc etc and if you want to give us url for a closer look feel free to do so.

its quite difficult to make an analysis without knowing the site, hope you understand.

    Here are my suggestions

    1) Context advertising - Adsense, kontera, Chitika, IntelliText
    2) Affiliate links related to your niche

    Hope that helps,
    Anup

You'll need to provide a little more information on the type of site. Your marketing approach will need to vary for different types of sites in different industries. If you can't show us the site URL, perhaps you can indicate the niche it's in.

I would also suggest you find the authority sites in your niche that are making real money and see how they have monetised their sites. These guys have probably spent a lot of time and money on testing, you can take advantage of that.

Even I m trying to monetize my site
I Dont make much money even thought the traffic is more than 1k-1.5k

How does the effect of niche depend on what type of ads u put up?
I know how adsense works but i m talking bout other ad networks.
Do the advertisers look for something specific that i should be aware of to make better earnings??

Well noted about the unique views, I meant it gets 46 000 page views, so every user views about 7 pages in average, sorry about that. Pop ups may work but then again it may be a annoying to many users. thanks for the tip, might give it a try.

"scubita" I understand that the niche is important to know, its not a forum. However what is important to understand is that adsense really does not work well because there is so many of these sites around, it may get 100 clicks but only earn like $1. I just wanted to know other metonization techniques.

"tuksdrr" It is an authority site, I mean when u type in the site name in google about 5 extra links come up linking to different parts of google.

I will look at the competition, thats a good idea and a start, thanks.

"gandandeep" thats why I opened this thread to get some tips myself and others like you can also get info from it.

Yeah, i get your point. I have a beauty site that has same issue: alot of visits + page impressions and no conversions.

What i have in mind is:

    a) affiliates (witch i tried with no success)
    b) create a online shop, direct traffic to it through banners and sell some produts beauty/female related
    c) simply sell it and move on

I see, I think that would work well in your case, the reason I wanted to make the site earn more money is because it does have the traffic and potential its just a matter making it make money. Also you cannot sell a site based on potential really as revenue counts at the end of the day, so if I was I wouldnt really get much out of it.

Since you aren't specific. Then you won't get a specific answer. So...

    - You could use Adsense/YPN etc.

    - You could use CPA style affiliate programs.

    - You can charge other sites for advertising.

    - You could sell your own product that has to do with your theme.

    - You could charge a fee to use your site if it's member base.

You may have to build it up, get more traffic, and try affiliate marketing and a little adsense to make a little revenue.

Most sites won't make you rich. But they can make you something. Keep coming up with ideas and banging out sites and making them grow. It'll pay off only if you stick around to let it. Unfortunately, if most people don't see $1m by the end of the month they develop "WADD" (Webmaster Attention Deficit Disorder) and take up porn downloading.

you can also try adbrite.. i don't know the context of your site but i've had more success with them on certain sites than google adsense.. maybe it's because my site was about "funny pictures" and for the adbrite used to show up all these ads from "pheromones, babes, smileys", etc which google refrains from doing(?) - but it does have a higher click-thru ratio depending on the visitors
