Position in Google changes DAILY (back and forth)

    One of my sites in Google has been changing from page 2/3 to page 1 everyday for about 2 weeks or more. Like in the morning it will be on page 1. then by noon back on page 2 or 3. Then back to 1 again later. THEN back again.

    This is everyday. I don't get it. I understand how positions change. But this is weird to me.

    Yes it happens sometime even for many popular heavy traffic websites also.

    That website is searching a best place to fit in. Hope everything will be back to normal soon. :)

    This pretty normal especially if you are involved in competitive niche. At least you know that you site stands a chance at being on the first page and that will give you motivation to work more on the SEO :)

    Most people who suffer that keeps getting strong backlinks, it's might be either you are losing the position of getting position, to ensure the higher position let google cached and indexed your site more often.

    This type of post comes up all the time on DP. It is normal for Google SERPs to change often. I track 61 keywords on Google, and at least half of them change every day. Absolutely normal.

    Jim4767 is correct that this is perfectly normal. My suggestion would be to use the time that you are currently spending on checking SERPs multiple times during the day on building more backlinks so you can blow your competitors away:)

    That's normal. Especially if your competitors are... well, competitive if they do SEO work on theirs then it will be a constant struggle between you and your competitors. Just try to do a little more than they do and you'll be ahead of the game.

    Sites are constantly changing content or gaining more backlinks. SEO is a dynamic process so building extra backlinks will help boost you up the rankings, but bear in mind that every other site will be doing this too hence the constant battle for poistions

    I had a position 4 (page 1) then back to page 3, currently on page 2.
    None of my competitors on page 1 have been jumping this much...

    yea one of my sites keep jumping from page 2 to page 3 and vice versa over the last month on a daily basis. the rest of my sites seem to be stable in their results and may change within a few positions but one of my sites seems to make these drastic page moves. hasn't made a big difference in traffic though but page 2 is obviously nicer than page 3.
