worldcupscene(DOT)com is a great WordPress-powered blog about the FIFA World Cup. It uses a customized free theme and has loads of good content and nice features.

It is monetized via Adsense, ShoppingAds, eBay and Amazon.

I think this is a great .COM name. Ideal as a blog or even a World Cup community (just add a forum).

premierleagueseason(DOT)com (great name!) - the main site is static PHP (no backend/database) and uses includes for easy editing. The content auto-updates with Premiership news, scores, etc. (all out-links use the "nofollow" attribute) and has a "football shirts shop" via eBay.

In addition, there is also a WordPress blog with a customized theme, some original posts and many others from YouTube, and other sources.

You thus basically get 2 great sites for the price of one!
