Html written all in CSS, no tables, something wrong yet

    Hi!

I'm an amteur seo. With a sparkling self-esteem: sometimes feel guru, sometimes dumb. Developing stuff though.

Need objective view of a professional. My website http://www.shirthunt.com sells T-shirts and rock band clothes and merchandise. Had redesigned it recently - now every page's html does validate, had thrown out everything that might have resembled spam as far as keyword placing is concerned. Looks to be all set.

However Google didn't seem to appreciate all the changes and damned work I've done - slowly but steadily sliding downward. Links? Well, nothing has dramaticaly changes lately.

Could anyone have a look at the website and say whether there is something obviously wrong such that I don't see.

    Thanks in advance
P.S. Ignore the homepage, that's a casualty of bad childhood and some kind of backward compatibility thing.

To start with I am no pro.

I am not sure what you mean ignore the home page that is the most important page of the site so all comments I am going to make are aimed at the home page.

I thought you said you have not usewd tables?
Iam seeing tables in your coding.

Right I see you have used a XHTML valid pic even though it is not it is only html transitional valid.
But that will not effet your SERPS.

I would at least advise changing from HTML transitional to HTML strict here are the few changes you would need to make.
    HTML strict

If you want it to be XHTML strict valid you have these errors.
    XHTML strict results

Your CSS has lots of errors too.
    CSS Validation Results

Your very slow in the speed report too, you should be aimming for your site to load in 8 seconds on dail-up. Your is saying 145.01 seconds for loading on dailup.

I thought you said you got rid of the spam on your pages?
    Looks pretty spammy to me.

    This is a handy tool.
    Page Analizer

You have to many link on your home page too, it is said you should have nomore than 100 links on any page yours is around 440.

I hope some of these comments give you a direction to go next and are of some use to you.

Thanks JOHNEVA! Very useful tools. And advices.
Homepage is my scourge - can't decide which pages to leave and which to skip from it. Don't have a clear hierarchy of internal pages. Guess have to think it all over again.
CSS has lots of errors, agree. Most come from my apprentice period.Haven't gotten around to correct it yet. Table present, but minimised compared to what it used to be. XHTML Transitional validated, at least with the tool that I used - will check it more thoroughly.
Yep, I guess still very spammy, have to risk and cut doun on some things.
