Traffic has nothing to do with PR. Pr is based on the amount of links you have and the PR from those sites. If you lost links for whatever reason or the links pointing to your site loses PR, that will affect your PR.

Links pointing to your site may not be calculated in your PR if Google thinks they were paid link or are not relevant to your niche.

It is not just linking factor. It is about how the website is positioned compared to others in the same content area.

Please explain that to me in relations to PR. If you are talking about the SERPs, I understand maybe what you are saying and it would not apply to the op's question. However, if you are talking about PR, I would be interested in how positioning applies to PR.

Also many outbound links to low quality sites may affect your site rankings.

Last PR update has affected many sites, not many seem to have risen, quite a few have dropped again

Perhaps some of your links have been removed or your site has too many outbound links, that's why your page drop has dropped...

Try to get more back links with good and relevant websites. Search Engine gives more importance to quality content, keyword placement in your content and good back links .

I think the quality of links are affecting the PR Drop but don't worry. PR isn't really weighed much.

PR is just useless unless you are selling any links on your site.Keep building good backlinks (oneway backlinks) and it will rise in next update.
