    Apart from not liking the way it presents it's results layout wise, i doubt it would ever have the financial backing to come close to what google can do.

    This site can never beat Google. Google is well established, and simple. This site can never beat the G team. Forget about it. We can see if the site even exists after an year or so.

    oh come on, they obviously have good promotion, because you can see threads like this poping up everywhere. But they suck, because their results are bad, long tail keywords do not give any results and others....

    Cuil is getting blasted in the vast majority of reviews. Most people think it is currently crap.

    It has a long way to go before it will be a serious contender for Google.

    Google is the 800 pound gorilla. To beat it, you need a 900 pound gorilla, not a 50 pound chimpanzee.

    I think the name was a poor choice. It is supposed to be a phonetic spelling of Cool, but it is too prone to misspellings.
