Yeah recently I had a TV Sitcom script which I'm done supporting as the shits all over the internet some how. I only sold at DP and now one of the guys leaked the script online? Seriously DP has a bunch of bs clients

( watch out for someone by "cyb0rg" )

I would list all my previous clients, but I'm not going to disrepect them, but seriously when will DP's community step up and stop leaking stuff..you can't sell nothing here without it being leeched 24 hours later.

A similar occurence happened to me after I sold my first script that I had created. The purchaser went around online selling my script which he had paid for a single, non-resellable license and had claimed that he created it.

The best thing to do is to increase protection on your script. (serials/keys, unique registration etc.).

In all honesty.. get used to it. If your going to sell a script online expect it to get leaked. If your going to sell an eBook expect it to get leaked.

Simple fact: deal with it.. or dont sell it.

    Welcome to the internet.

Focus on providing great support for your customers. Don't stress about it, for every 1 jerk that leaks the script or uses a stolen copy, there are 50 honest customers willing to pay and respect your hard work. The people snapping up the stolen copies wouldn't have paid for the script anyway.

Don't let a few jerks ruin what you have going. Keep pressing forward providing awesome support, a great product, and frequently add new features. Those jerks giving away your script don't have the business sense to imrpove the script nor offer support for it.

When you do find someone using a leaked copy, just get their host to shut them down.

You cannot do much about it. The internet has both the good and bad sides. You have to work your part and be honest. Honest people always go up.

Does this work for scripts too? It seems more like something for a computer program.

EDIT: P.S. I am not an idiot, I know they are practically the same. Just wondering if it works for like PHP scripts instead of programs running on windows that were made with like VB or C.

To encrypt use zend with serials hashes that are domain dependent.

As bad as it sounds, go by the phrase, Trust Nobody, Anyone will stab you in the back.

You don't see big firms or even other little firms who sell scripts make it that straight forward, your best method would be to encrypt using zend as stated by 007c.

All scripts are nulled and what not, however if it has been nulled it cannot be reselled.

To protect your scripts encode it using Ioncube and use a license system such as the one in my signature.;)
