Does StumbleUpon Effect PR?

    I was wondering if anyone knew if StumbleUpon submissions effect your google pagerank.

    And do you think its unethical to submit your own articles to get the ball rolling?

    Stumbleupon is good if your target market are teenagers. :) I think it can increase somehow through backlinks.

    Simple answer; before stumble upon was a nofollow site you could get Pagerank from member profiles, but that is long gone. About article submissions.... no it's not unethical considering you should be doing your own article submissions, I've yet to see someone do one for someone else for the hell of it. ;)

    Stumbleupon doesn't affect your page rank unless you make a proper submission on your articles. If your submission looks like spamming the Google will penalized your site.

    Content producers, service providers, and marketers alike, crave the Digg effect, the Slashdot effect, and so on, but you rarely ever hear about the power of StumbleUpon (and it is quite powerful).

    stumble links are all no follow. it's good for traffic but conversion rates can be low with it

    SU gets you a lot of traffic but the % of clicking is so small... In digg people read news and if they like it, they keep looking your website. You can get more regular users with digg.

    From what I have read I have discovered that Stumbleupon is good for getting traffic but not much for PR, however, you must be prepared for an increase in your bounce rate.
