4 Year Old Automotive Website -> 100+ Content Pages

Hey all,

The site for sale is: http://www.GTRides.com

This site was created in June 2004. It used to be my baby and receive really solid traffic. In March 2006 it averaged nearly 500 visits and 1000 pageviews per day.

However, since then I haven't done much work on the site. I redesigned it last year (made it smaller and updated the content) to try and increase traffic but that didn't help.

Note that the photos on the old site don't work because I took them off the server, but I do still have all of them and they will be included in the sale at no cost.

Right now the site gets around 75 visits per day. It isn't making significant revenue.

Please note - this is a PROJECT. The site has a good history, and can definitely regain its former glory with a little hard work. If you are looking for a website to buy cheap and flip for a massive profit, GTRides is probably a good choice.

I posted this site a couple weeks ago here on DP. Member "beetlejuice5" agreed to buy the site for $450 via Paypal. It's been two weeks and he hasn't paid.

Therefore, I'm re-listing the site for sale.

$450 (firm) via Paypal takes the domain + content.

 

How much is not significant revenue ?

Please let me know 1 thing...

If you revamped the old site, then why didn't you take it out and kept it online? (I mean the old version)

Also... is any of the content unique? Homepage passes copyscape, but car detail pages don't.

Can you please share the current referrals?

I might be interested in adding to my cars collection, but I need to know more.

Revenue I honestly can't estimate - the Google ads being used aren't mine (never applied for an account) but one member was worried the site was banned by Adsense, so I put up a friend's Adsense banners to prove that wasn't the case. Expect $0 revenue the way the site is, although I am pretty sure it would be at least a few bucks a month.

I'm not really sure why I took down the old content. I guess I figured it didn't make sense to keep 2 websites online, but in hindsight it probably would have increased search engine traffic. The old content (all 100 pages) is completely unique and custom written by myself. The content on the new site is also custom, but contains more quotes from press releases and similar sources.

You wont be able to get a 4 year old site with 100+ unique content pages for less than this...

First person to PM me offering $400 via Paypal gets it.
