Hints keywords in Adsense code

I have seen many sites use google hints together with the adsense code .. so that the ad can trigger ads related to the keywords .. i would like to know if this is allowed . thx

google_hints = "vertical mouse consolidate student loans dating websites dating sites dating service dating singles federal student loan consolidation blackjack refinance car loans uk";

 

A better way to do this is to use "Section Targetting" by placing special HTML tags with your content to identify what is important on the page and what is not so important on the page.

Adsense reads the content between these tags and uses that content to target the ads to your page.

It's permitted on a publisher by publisher basis. Not everyone can do it.

no what i wanted to explain is that the site does not have contents concerning loan , but it has loan related keywords so that the adsense ads can show loan ads. is this allowed?

No, that's abuse of the "google hints" program.

 

I ain't touching the code at all. Why touch something that's not broken? Adsense is working for me just fine thanks. But I hear ya. Good to see ones looking into what angles people are trying to trick Google.

It allows certain publishers to serve better targeted/related ads on their pages by feeding the adsense bot additonal "hints" about the content on the page.

Yes, it would be against the tos. It's an "invite only" program.

ok , thx lots . as explained in this url , it is for sites with high traffic and low CTR .

 

Getting invited is more about traffic and quality content than it is CTR.
