A domain I want is in pendingDelete since July 16 (12 days). Since every site says that a domain is released after at most 7 days w/ this status, I was wondering what should I do to get this domain.

I sent a message to the registrar that's in the whois information, but they didn't reply yet (4 days :(). Anyone have ever experienced this?

Is the domain name's status indeed pending delete? Or is the pending delete
you see showing under the registrant?

Here's part of the whois info:

    Status: pendingDelete
    Registrar: KEY-SYSTEMS GMBH
    Expiration Date: 2008-06-02 23:59:59
    Creation Date: 2005-06-03 15:42:57
    Last Update Date: 2008-07-16 06:01:54

EDIT: got a standard reply from the registrar saying that the period in pendingDelete is 5 days, but didn't say anything about my domain... sent another msg :/

Hmm, looks like it's on pending delete, all right. Try this:

    http://www.icann.org/en/compliance/

Take a screenshot of that WHOIS and include it in your email to ICANN. They
might correct it, or the Registry might correct that soon enough.

I would advise when contacting the registrar, not to reveal the actual domain name, but since it appears you already have, the point is somewhat moot.
Just that some registrars have been know to "kite".

Anyhow, if you think that there may be some irregularity/impropriety, use the ICANN contact info provided by Dave Zan to bring this to their attention.
Another thing is, if you want someone from the registrar to address the specifics, call rather than sending e-mails
