    am new here in DP, just want to ask if signature links here in DP could help my SEO campaign? would it help my keyword rank well in search engines?

    Yes signature links here act as backlinks to your website, therefore you should ensure to put your keywords in the anchor text on your signature.

    Try to get quality dofollow bl's from Blogs, Quality directories and other dofollow websites.

    As your signature will likely benefit your site with the google luv as it "ages", much like a fine wine, does it follow that having your comments on older posts accelerates the process? I have seen comments that putting your comments on "older" blog posts is "better" due to this aging process, so to speak, so would it also apply on forum posts. Even if it does, is it a good practice to hunt for older posts to comment on. Just because it might benefit your site doesn't necessarily mean one should do it.

    I don't really understand this part, please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that old threads will be set to archives with the links removed and only content remained. Sig links were all gone? At least that is what I see done elsewhere.

    They definatly do, some fourms help more than others though. do follow vs no follow and then forums which have use url rewriting for SE friendly urls.

    signature links are one side of the backlink building. you must build all types of backlinks (blogs, forums, directories)
