A definite improvement in rankings which were on page 2. They almost come to page 1 immediately, but that might differ case to case basis.
I can't get listed in my chosen category since no one seems to be responsible for it and so I applied, but the e-mail bounced back. Can someone confirm if this is typical? i.e. you try to apply but it bounces back? Eric
I've tried for over a year to get listed(several times) on three sites. My sites aren't spam sites. I thought they had gone out of business, just like to get people to waste their time submitting to them.
you have to have unique content to be listed in dmoz, so if you use free articles which are duped and such, then dont expect to be listed. if otherwise, you are just unlucky
Something's up with DMOZ re editorships. I know a few people who've applied recently. None got approved. Also, getting approved listings in "competitive" sections is also very difficult recently.
We use unique content. All my writers write fresh content daily. We even have primary sources (interviews, government stats, raw info databases, etc).
you must be pretty unlucky then, i got a site listed in dmoz without even submitting it, dunno how. it must depend on how cocky the editor is (if there even is one)
I can safely say that one of my blog have unique content, but dmoz still didn't accept it. I wonder why?
Everyone puts entirely too much wieght behind DMOZ. It's only popular because people say it's popular. It provides no realy benifit whatsoever.
