    Hey,

I was wondering what steps I would take or where I would have to go to find an investor.

My credit isn't all amazing and im still a bit young (20) But I have been working since I have been 12.

So any comments well be great. :)

It all depends on the amount required. If it is sizable in millions for example, you will need a solid business plan and you will definitely need to present your proposal. If it isn't that much, it would be far easier to get the money from friends and relatives. Venture funds aren't easy to tap and the restrictions they impose can be harsh.

Care to share about a little of your project details? If it's good enough or simply a killer one, it would not be hard to find someone to invest.

You can find quite some millionaires even here, on DP, ;)

Yes and no. A lot depends on the nature of the project. For some projects, involvement of venture capital may bring about a much needed input of management skills as well as charting of the growth of the company towards an IPO. For other projects, family and friends money are the way to go. Really can't say unless we know more of the project.

I am not sure about the situation now but in my past experiences, if you require funding from external parties, you must show that you really believe in your business enough to be willing to invest all your savings and even be willing to mortgage or sell everything you have for your business before they would consider investing in your business.

Your own funding and borrowing from friends and family would be the easiest way of getting funds. Beyond that, you can approach banks to extend funding through mortgaging your property and probably short-term unsecured loan via credit cards or other credit facilities. You could approach the bank, government, angel funding or venture capitalists for funding but you must be sure that you have a solid business plan and a viable business which have a good chance of success. Most would not want to invest or provide funding for a business which is not going to make them money. You must be able to provide a sales and growth forecast which you can fulfil or else there may be hell to pay.

    Hey,

Thank you for the reply's and great ideas. I have spoken to my parents and are willing to invest as well as family friends. But not as much as I will need. Should I just Google find investors?

If you would like to learn more about my company just email me. :)

    Thank you!
