Drupal, with the SEO Friendly URLs option turned on, is very, VERY SEO friendly. SEO Friendly URLs are part of the core, so no plug-ins, add-ins, or modules are required.
Combine SEO Friendly URLs with the PathAuto module, and you're golden..

I've been working with: Mambo, Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal.

Mambo and Joomla is great for huge sites <--- needs seo plugins available from the Joomla site

Drupal: same as joomla, but somehow I didn't like it, but thats me though. <---- SEO plugins from the drupal sites

Wordpress: Great to use as a blogging plattform. <---- SEO plugins from wordpress sites.

As you might see, four of the most used CMS DON'T have a solution for SEO included, you will need 3 parties extensions.

I don't think there's much in it all these days - so long as you install the necessary seo plugins for all of the different cms's anyway. It more comes down to which platform will suite you better - wordpress for blogs, joomla/drupal for more advanced sites with reviews/directories/forums etc, or even just content heavy sites that don't require a blog feel.

Joomla for me, with Artio Joomsef. Closest other for me is Wordpress, but I can't stand it.

My vote is for Wordpress using the Headspace or All in One SEO Pack plugins with pretty permalinks. I've used Mambo, Geeklog, Drupal, Xoops, PostNuke, and the lot - and was never happier than I am now with Wordpress.
