Nothing yet, still Pr3 on freeukclassifieds.com and been like that for a very long time! My other site postfreeads.net is pr0 which has been like that since i started it back in feb. Strange really as other sites i have created after that site have pr1 or pr2??

I feel bad for you. I went from a PR3 to a PR2. Not to bad and I kind of saw it coming, but 3 seems like a some much bigger number than 2...

Holy smokes, my PR Tool http://www.dlls.info checked just over 150,000 URL's Pagerank in the last 24 hours. Damn PR addicts wanting their fix lol. :D

It still managed to do sub 1 second lookups, and avoid the Google IP ban. ;)

Not at all, i'm glad people found it useful when most checkers weren't working with the new data although it doesn't benefit me as there's no ads etc on it.

What i done is hosted the "guts" of the script that queries Google on 4 different servers using several IP's, and the front end had the list of IP's in rotation. When people do a query it selects the next IP in the list for the results.

This is how it stayed online and working fast plus avoided a Google IP ban with so many people online.

first things first you better get a quality site on there.... PR is not intended to sit on a site that is empty, you might be lucky this go around but it is almost certain that if you leave the site with no content that it will end up with no PR at all in the next update

I was surprise that Google Rank my new site (which is approximately to 4 months old) from PR0 to PR3.

What I have did for my site was few month ago, I spend about a couple of week to submit my new site to Free Web Directory. 3 month later, my site become PR3. I am thinking to submit my site to higher PR site to boost up my Google Rank for the next few weeks later. And most of my traffic was from United State.

Contra to those who get higher PR....:)

I've seen a lot of my new sites have change from PR0 to PR1 and PR2.

Some of the sites are drop in PR...and some still maintain at old PR.

I have noticed about backlinks updated 2 days ago and pagerank updated yesterday, but I will not talk much about pagerank for now since there are many threads already about them. I am talking about my observation on this update based on my own experiences.

    1. Google put much more restricted on backlinks that "show" (but still be counted). This will be much harder for webmasters to check if some links is important for your ranking or not.

    2. Google shifted algorithm on PR, based on relevancy of backlinks and quality of content too. We were understand that PR is based on amount of backlinks only but it has been changed now these days. You will see many inner pages of sites/directories PR got ripped off, that because those pages not have backlinks, plus have some low quality backlinks and low quality content/no unique content in itself. This will be much harder for manipulate homepage PR by internal linking strategy. However, like the previous 2 updated, PR is not reflected on true site quality anymore. Site which has high PR (5+) may not mean much important, especially for many new sites that got high PR in the first update before got much lower in another next update. If you want to define true site quality, see the site that has passed last 5 update and its PR still remain the same as previously.

    3. Quality of content and age of backlinks play much more important role in SERPs. This not mean the age of backlinks source only but also mean how long that your link stayed on that page. Google push more filter on backlinks and its age than before.

    4. You have to set ratio of anchor text and vary them, or your site will be filtered out for the keyword that Google see you are trying to manipulate its ranking. This filter already existed before but have more important role in this update, that's why you see many peoples here cry about their ranking that flux.

This is only my opinion. :) If you have something need to be discussed please feel free to post here.

    Hi all,

Bought myself a new domain recently, put a nice SEO cms on it, made some great unique content (15000words online now), got a PR4 last update but the strange thing is.... no organic traffic, zero! absolutely nothing....SERP is nothing.

    Any ideas or tips?

    Thanks

So, if I leave the domain without content, possibly I will get PR 0 in the next update ?
