Guys, before you comment and assumed that your withdrawal options would be the same as the OP then you would be wrong. Different countries have different withdrawal options, fees and conditions.

Since the OP indicated that he used a UK Bank account, one could easily conclude that he is not from India but from the UK.

If you go to https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-country-functionality-outside and select 'United Kingdom' you would see the only options for withdrawal would be 'UK Bank account' or 'US Bank account'. There is no check or debit card withdrawal options available.

To the OP, to withdraw your money in Paypal, it is very simple. First thing you need to do is to Log into Paypal. After you do that, click on 'Withdraw' on the second row of the top tab options of the page. Then select the withdrawal option which in your case would only be to withdraw to your bank account. At that page, it will tell you if there is any fees, minimum sum to withdraw and the time it takes to get the money in your bank account. Do take note of these as most people simply ignore it and then come here and complained they did not get their money.

After which, you will just enter the amount of money you want to withdraw. If it is not in UK pounds then Paypal would convert at source the money you withdraw to UK Pounds based on their bank's exchange rate + 2.5% foreign exchange fees. Then count the number of days in which Paypal say the money will get to your account after the transaction shows as 'Complete'.

The Complete status does not mean the money is in your bank account as Paypal does not own your bank and thus would not have any control over its procedures. Complete simply means that Paypal has done all the necessary paperwork on their end to initiate the transfer. Then it would depend on the banking system and your bank to determine how soon you will get the money.

Add your bank account number to your paypal account and then go for withdrawal.
Enter amount of withdraw money and you get direct to your bank account within 5 to 6 working days.
I use this type of transaction once in a month in india.

the best option for you is to withraw it to your bank account or if you have a friend who wants to buy your paypal just sell it to him and ask him to give you cash instead.

Officially speaking, if you comply with the Acceptable Usage Policy which are you are bounded to, you are not allowed to do currency exchanges as it could get your account limited and more.
