Hi I came across these lines "commenting on other blogs with a link pointing back to your site or have others write a post about your blog or a post you’ve written. " When i comment on a blog , there is a section called "NAME", do i need to write my name or anchor text . Please suggest on this
you need to write the anchor text in that name, still if you are having confusion than just check comments which are already posted.
I usually write my name (John D Stewart) in the 'name' field, but I've recently realised that I should really be writing good anchor text instead. So from now on it's anchor text all the way! John.
If you're targeting a keyword might as well use your anchor text than name. As long as you don't spam, your comment is likely accepted.
"commenting on other blogs with a link pointing back to your site" use an anchor text instead of your "Name".
You should write the anchor text in NAME section. Most of good quality blogs has nofollow tag on links. But from there you can get traffic or visits. Some blogs have also do follow tag so from there you will get back links as well.
Commenting on the blogs where it does not give option to enter URL , how can we get link in this case of commenting
It is recommended that you use an anchor text. However, sometimes the blog owner will not accept the comment if it is not a name. Chances are they do not accept a link so I would just move on if you are only looking for a back link. Otherwise, you could be targeted as a spammer.
I would suggest writing your anchor text in the name section, this wil ensure the link is relevant to your websites content. However try and not make it too noticable i know its hard but it can work. For example if you had a web design site you could call yourself "web design expert" Hope this helps.
Anchor text is best, but if you are promoting a site with the main keyword being such as: "cheap viagra", then despite how good your comment quality may be, the blog owner will be very quick to delete your comment. You might have a greater chance of your link remaining if you use an anchor text like: "Mikes cheap viagra".
If you're going to use anchor text as your name, you should make sure you're leaving a quality comment with helpful information. If your comment says just says "Nice site. I'm adding you to my blogroll." and you're using anchor text, you're obviously looking for a backlink and you're probably getting deleted. On the other hand, if you respond with meaningful text that's relevant to the post and you use anchor text as your name, your comment has a greater chance of staying. What WarrenBuffet said is also true. The wording of your anchor text has an effect on whether your comment stays or goes. Anything adult-related will probably get the boot, especially on a non-adult site.
