incentive? hardly. (at least i think so.) on the edge? maybe. But it sounds very cool.

so if you guys think it's ok, i would try to implement it, or something in that direction, on my site.

do you think google is letting them get away with that kind of text because it's a fairly large site? (probably lots of hits?)

 

I doubt it. Google just probably isn't aware of it (yet).

 

I'd avoid it, I'd actually never put anything on a page that can be understood as encouragement to click on an ad. It's just not worth it in the long run.
