Anyone know I can have a slowly automatic scrolling gallery when someone opens up a page on my website ?

Whats the best way to do this?

    Something like this site

But without the top bit where it enlargens it...just the side scrolling images.

This can be done a couple ways, the site you posted uses Flash, and you could also use Javascript.

A google search for 'scrolling photo gallery' will get you plenty of results. As for which way you should go with that's completely up to you. Javascript is nice because you can customize it easily enough, and flash is nice because. . . Well because it's flash xD

Either way you go with I would suggest grabbing a thumbnail php script- it re-renders the image without needing to edit the actual image- saving bandwidth (otherwise the flash/js will load the entire image for thumbnail display, unless you want to go though all the trouble of resizing it by hand).

It's a popular piece of code and can be found every where with differing customization.

I have built galleries similar to this in both Flash and HTML/JS/CSS. I tend to prefer the JS option.

    Here's one I've recently built: http://www.grenadegloves.com/shop.php

If you are interested, I can help you setup something similar at a relatively low(ish) cost.

    Cheers.

    Hey Jack,

Yeah something similar except mine would be more basic.

I need it to simply scroll some photos across and it wouldnt need to stop when I roll over the images.

And it doesnt need to be linked to anything. The photos would simply scroll on by.

    How much would you charge?
