Are you trying to make money of these blogs are is it for fun. But if your making a profesional site its not about flashy and cheesy type stuff like glittering letters. Make it professional. And not amature like some sites i see. Like 1800 dentist site or something.

I would check out the site, www.briz.com. You can create a complete profile and do a lot for your business. It's a community so it generates the traffic for you. After you sign up (which is free) you can create a complete profile and even make your own domain by choosing a keyword to put in after www.briz.com/_____. For example, www.briz.com/dentist. how about writing about your dental knowledge. I mean lots and lots of content. when people have a toothache, they search and BAM! you're first on the search engine because you're content loaded. Imagine you can be an authority in denistry online!
I'd love that but getting there is tough. I have very little experience with SEO/backlinking etc... Like I said before, maybe I am wrong, but even to me (a dentist) dentistry is just not a "sexy" topic to read about haha.
If you own the domain you should forward the miniteeth.com to the www url. You could also join linkreferral(google it, it should be #1), they are a decent site mostly like a directory but they require you to do a few things to get high visibility in your category. Point being some of the reviews given there are of quality and those could help you improve your site further. You would be able to post a question for the reviewers to answer. Some will answer it.
Maybe not a sexy topic but do this, get a google adwords account and put some search strings in there such as tooth aches, plaque whatever(you are the dentist you pick) then use their Keyword Tool and expand your keywords with the relevant suggestions the tool comes up with. "toothache" for instance has 110,000 searches for July and is highly competitive. "tooth health" has 2400 searches and is half as competitive. With good content it is likely you could own the later. With the keywords google pops up, you should also see the search traffic and competition and thereby get a picture of what is searched and what you should attempt to own first. You can then develop your content from that picture. Once you are established you can then set goals for owning the entire field.
