I type with all my fingers, but my accuracy goes down when i am retyping something or going from book text to computer. Free form I'm good though
I look at the Key board often and the most used key is 'BackSpace'... lolzz.. I make many errors.. Almost all the error are because I hit my finger in the middle of 2 keys... so.. Sometimes it will go correct and sometimes wrong.. I need to improve.. btw.. Where can I see my WPM speed online?
I have typed with two fingers for long time and I used to get frustrated because I do spend a lot of time in my computer and it was a big time consuming. I went to the library and I got a book about that and finally I know the keyboard pretty well. That is a skill that you can learn very fast. "Practice makes perfection"
I use all of my fingers except my left thumb as i am not used of it but am tryin gmy level best to improve....
I having a hard a time to put all my fingers to the home keys, that's why I trained myself not to look at to the keyboard even though my fingers is not in the proper keys!
I use all my fingers but I have developed my own sort of method for hitting a few keys, this is from playing online games. It doesn't affect my WPM though, 110-120 with nearly 100% accuracy ~Jeremy~
I've gotten really good from so many years of IMing. It took an effort for me to get used to using my pinkies though. I never had a formal lesson but I can do 80 wpm at will, 100+ wpm if I'm in the zone.
I use most of my fingers but not all...I have never put the time in to learn properly. I had a relative who knows how to code in Java by touch typing and really fast. That's the most amazing coding I have ever seen.
This site is fun---they give you an excerpt from a book or movie and you race in a heat against a bunch of strangers. I usually whoop ass. http://play.typeracer.com/
