Can i post adsense code on ANYBODYS website?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by mtglass, Jul 22, 2008.

Hello, sorry newbie question. Am i allowed, or is it even possible to post adsense code onto somebody elses page and get the revenue from that?

Or does google detect its on a different domain?

I have a feeling they wouldnt allow it - to stop spamming.

    thanks for any replies.

lol how/why would you put it on another site

the codes are not "site unique" anyway like that

just your pub code and channel if you use one

    thanks!, yup, im serious

sorry, im not sure i understand...

(the codes are not "site unique" just your pub code and channel if you use one)

the ads on the 'other' website have my pub code (google_ad_client = "pub-58****...)

so does this mean that a click visitor will credit me... ( not the owner of the webspace)

sorry, its late here, and im doing 5 things at once trying to get this site ready..

(as i speak my unix prompt is chugging through records - been running for 1 day - at this rate eta: 8 hours...)
    cheers
    :)

What it is - i have 'mapped' a subdomain to an affiliate ( one that allows custom html input for partners) and so im just formatting it to match the main website...

As long as you have permission / you own the site that you are putting the ads on, then I see no problem.

Yes, you can put that if you can put the code on other website. However, you need to be careful, if the webiste you put the code suddenly add up some adult content, you might get banned

You can place your code on any site that you want, as long as:

    A - They approve it.
B - The site is within the AdSense TOS.

I have my code on about 50 different sites (some of mine, some shared with friends, some like Squidoo, etc). No problem at all.

as long as you as the site agrees with all of the rules, and you have the site owners permission to do so, then yes you are allowed. If you try to hack and sneak the code in, the owner can report you and your adsense account will be banned!

Sites like this or lockergnome.com allow people to insert their code along side the owners ads and make a share of the revenue. its a growing but fairly common practice

while you guys are watching this thread, can anyone point me to a post that explains HOW these article submission directories work?
or explain it in a nutshell?

    - do they have ads on the page and the author gets a cut?
    - how does the author benefit by giving away the article (albeit with a link back?) - is it a link building thing alone?

    cheers.

p.s: unix script running for 4 hours, i forgot to put a progress log on it... it was chugging away happily, with x hours still to go...outputting what line it was on to my unix prompt.. however the data it was meant to be crunching -- was not being crunched! - it was outputting the line whilst in the background failing each update query.. Argggh.. code corrected and its chugging away, again. hoorah!

    hope its bloody worth it.

    8 hours to go... still...

**edit** moral is: never trust yourself to code at 3 in the morning :/

you can put your adsense codes at any sites if the sites meet the adsense rules.

for examples, porn, and gamble sites are not allowed.
