Is America dumb enough to allow an attack on Iran?

Keep pressuring Iran?

  1. Yes, if need be - attack. Security > Freedom

  2. No, we can't afford that. Freedom > Security

Anymore I feel like I'm dreaming the way things are these days, it's like we live in a frikkin cocoon sheltered from reality and common sense. Most of you know by now our economy is NOT GOOD to say the least and really on the verge of something much worse. Can we really afford right now to be bullying other countries that are very much involved WITH OUR PRIMARY SOURCE OF ENERGY?

Even if Iran gets their "enrichment" and they get a million nukes like other untrustworthy countries have, so the fuck what? Can they reach us? Umm, I don't think. Can they reach Israel? Yes. Is Israel the US? No. Does Israel have WMD's themselves? Hmm, yes! Can they knock the sh!t out of Iran before an attack if they wanted to? Yes and I think they've done something like that before!

There you go I just solved this problem using a simple thing called common sense that all of us should be equipped with by now and using on a daily basis.

As an American, are you stupid and incompetent enough to allow the people that are supposed to represent us, go and do something that you KNOW will make your life a lot worse off? Do you know exactly how much worse off we will be if we keep f*cking with everybody and think it won't come with consequences? What people need to start doing is pressuring Congress to stop this foolish behavior before it gets us ALL IN A WORLD OF SH!T. If this happens without any resistance from the public, I will be blaming America first for not having the brains or balls to do anything about it.

    Take the poll.

If Iran gets 100 nukes, I would be concerned as an American. Do I think they have a missile that can reach us - nope. Do I think there are other ways besides a missile to harm the US with nukes - yes. Do I think Iran would support terrorist groups with money and arms - they already do.

I am not for any attack on Iran. I am for protecting America. If a time comes when protecting America means preventing Iran from having nuclear weapons, I would probably support it.

Because Bush has no credibility, I don't think I would ever support his explanation or effort to attack Iran. I would not want to give one answer which applies today and be bound by it two years time when Iran may pose substantially more of a threat to the US than they do now.

You poll does not give me an option that fits my thinking.

Israel backing America = War against Iran but for time being America's concern is Myth Osama and thats why Bush is intruding Pakistan's tribal areas. Bush just want to get some thing out of nothing before he leaves the office.

The US is not in any troubled in Iraq. The soldiers in Iraq have the support of the citizens of Iraq, the Iraqi Army and the Government.

How do you figure they have the support of the citizens?
The government themselves want them out, the sooner the better, mainly because of pressure from the citizens who do not want them there.

That falls under life experience again my good friend Grim. The Citizens of Iraq love the US soldiers. Handshakes and waves from the lawabiding citizens.

Ahh so polls and the citizens saying they do not support them mean nothing, life experience trumps all.

In one thread you say polls are unscientific the next theread they are all that. I know that most citizens approve of the US soldiers and treat the soldiers with repect.

I think it is time for the US to leave Iraq as well. The war in Iraq was a success and the Iraqi government and Army are able to stand on its on without support from the United States. We can't stay there forever fighting crime like a police officer. If we do that, we will be there forever.

    LOL
Polls based ONLINE are unscientific, there are of course scientific polls, but nice try.

Most citizens of where, Iraq? No most citizens of Iraq from every article I have ever read do not support the US.
Time will tell if they can 'stand' on their own.

Grim. I don't know where you live. I can read articles all day saying what people think about your hometown and what they the citizens want. But until I live there or visit I do not have a clue. A small group of people can protest a walmart or lowes being built but the majority of the citizens may think other wise. One reporter can eat lunch in your hometown and draw a conclusion that the town was ignorant and the people were rude from stopping at one place. Is this scientific? I think not. Another reporter can visit your town and live with the citizens for 2 years and draw a conclusion that the town’s people were smart, well educated and very polite. You are going to believe what you what to believe about the Middle East regardless of what I say or anyone says that disagrees with you and that what makes Grim,...Grim. The way of life in the Middle East is completely different from the way of life in the US. That does not make the citizens of Iraq bad. The terrorist are not good people at all. Iraq is a better place now than before the US focused on terrorist sanctuaries in Iraq.

Remember the citizens of Iraq tearing down the statue at the beginning of the sanctuaries engagement?

Like it matters what we the people really think. If Cheney really wants to invade Iran then well do it, and obviously he does.

I don't have any articles directly on this but if you answered No the question (Freedom > Security) then you would probably like my blog. (Reg Sig Link)

Though its kind of a stupid question because saying Freedom is greater than security implies that if we don't pressure or attack Iran we will be less secure and not protecting ourselves, which is an asinine. but thats another discussion for another time.

Nearly everything you write is wrong or takes a kernel of truth and tries to make it support something else entirely.

The funniest part to me is that you think you are actually making intelligent posts and persuading people. You are, in my opinion, a laughingstock. I am embarrassed that you are on this site speaking for Americans - but I guess someone has to represent that group of people in American who think like you. I just hope the majority of people realize that even people who support America and many of our actions disagree with nearly every absurd rationale you try and make here on DP.

I am not sure why people keep giving you the respect of engaging with you. I know I don't try and reason with children because they just don't appreciate logic and because they see things on such a simple level one simply cannot expect them to understand complex issues.

    C'est la vie.

browntwn you have got to be the life of a party the way you spew insults at everyone in the majority of the threads. I guess I get attacked and harassed like clock work. Put me on ignore. It is embarrassing the way you act but to each their own. It’s like I got my own personnel internet stalker that attacks and harasses me every chance they get, due to the fact I do not believe their twisted left conspiracy theories. Page one recent insults spewed at different DP users. I guess it’s easy to be an internet tough guy behind the confines of a computer screen.
