    Who else here suffers from heartburn from time to time? What do you take for it? One thing that I've found to work better than anything else is baking soda. Half a teaspoon in half a glass of water and the heartburn goes away instantly after about 5 seconds. Often a nice satisfying belch soon follows. Anyway, what do you take and how well has it worked for you?

    a teaspoon of sugar and a glass of cold water which I drink very slowly :D

    Never tried baking soda, the sugar works for me... but I'll definitely keep it in mind

    Sugar? Really? That just makes my heartburn 10 times worse. Sugar is acidic and I can't see how that could help.

    I only get it when I eat too much pepperoni, for that Maalox works great.

    With a name like Barbiegirl do you cause others heartburn, or heartache? :D

    Never tried the baking soda, Websiteideas. I had an endoscopy to check out my stomach (too much acid) recently and had to take a bunch of antibiotics, for bacteria in my stomach.
