not necessarily...it isn't about the quantity of links that linking to but about its quality...and you have to SEO your site not only for SEs but also for your visitors...

 

i agree except i think wiki links for a 1 week wouldnt do anything for your site...need the links for at least a few months

 

In the old days, the one with the most links won. That's just not the case anymore. The one with the most relevant links wins! I'm not arguing that 20000 links won't produce results, I am just saying that 500 great links can compete with those 20,000 directory links and possibly produce better results.

Its not a sought after backlink. All sites competing against it have fewer backlinks.
