Ad submission process

I recently joined the network and I am all setup with ads live on my site etc. but I am a bit confused about the ad submission process.

I submitted a couple ads but there is no sign of them on my account page. Do we get an in process notice or anything to show they are pending review?

How long does it take for ads to be reviewed and OK'd?

Am I getting credit for all the time that I'm displaying ads but my ads are not in the system?

How many ads can we have live in the system?

    Thanks,
    Deanna

Ads are always displayed on your accounts even when they are pending review.

Ok, so if I have no ads listed on my account page that means then I haven't submitted correctly?

I just tried to submit an ad again and did it very slowly and carefuly to make sure I did everything corrrectly but after I hit submit nothing shows up on my page. It would be under "My pool of advertisement's" correct?

    What is up with this?

    Thanks,
    Deanna

Not sure... just tried it and it seems to be working for me. What browser are you using?

I had this happen. Make sure you select a language and category.

(Shawn - if the ads are not submitted can the ad text stay in the boxes?)

I am using Firefox but just tried it in internet explorer and had the same thing happen.

    Here it is exactly:

I select Text, Business, English, then I enter my anchor text and my url.

    Then I click submit.

The box then clears out everything I submitted but nothing else happens (such as ad being listed below).

Is there anything that can be done?

Seems like you forgot to enter a description which is required.

OK, after reading someone else's post about trouble with ad posting I added something in the description category. I hadn't been doing that (or adding something really short, must be a minimum character count) because when I first asked about this I was told it wasn't needed for text ads only banner ads.

But when I did add a description the ad posted fine. Obviously the advice I was originally given was wrong.

That's right, as it's not you that choses how your ad is displayed, it is the publisher - they may pick the link only version of your ad or the description also version.
