I'm still on XP at the moment but I've always been thinking of upgrading to Vista. I probably will soon once I've had enough of XP, which won't be long. Might even dual boot with XP and Vista, just incase I don't like Vista, but if people say its good, then I might stick with it.
Vista is slower then xp... Its a waste of time the only downside of xp is that some games do not work because they are vista only...
Bwahahahahahaha, I nearly fell off my chair when I read the topic title. Saying Vista rocks is like saying Hitler was a saint. I can say that it has some good ideas, but what good are they if the system sucks?
Its mostly about the graphics card, you could have the best CPU evyer and the most RAM your motherboard would allow, and have a really sh*t graphics card and it would slow it down I had vista a year ago, installed it. Took it off. Drivers were non existent. Installed it again a week ago and I've still got it. running smoothly and all the drivers are installed: )
Personally, I enjoy Vista a lot more. Along with that, it's been as reliable, if not more reliable than my XP installation.
vista is a nice window only when you are using it single-handedly with no other softwares and tools in particular it got 90% of compatibilty issuses with games.And when ever I tried to install new codecs in it the media player always got wedged
All i can say is that vista is good, only thing is that its having hell a lot of problems with lot of incompatible issues. and sorry to say that MAC is no use for any windows users,since they are too much expensive and for each applications mac is not as compatible as windows. I tried Ubuntu 8.0.4 and i nearly spent 5 hrs searching for installing my wifi adapter drivers,even though i had guide on how to install drivers LOL... ubuntu is secure,but its not user friendly. simply because most of the asian computer geeks are 100% windows compatible living being LOL digiguy
Im using vitsa fromlat one year...so far its been goood for me. yes it do have plus points. but i dont know why always ppl say bad things about it.
Vista is awfully slow on my computer... Besides, I just don't like to switch to newer operating systems.
pointless arguing in favour of vista... accept it.. "the patrons" it may have many new features all right.. but wats the point in having so many features when a standard PC cant run it well... if its memory usage wud hv been better and the security features wern't as annoying.. then may be i wud have given vista atleast 3/10!!
Ah c'mon Just turn off the UAC if the security stuff is annoying you, Vista is not for noobs (agreed!) but for webmasters and regular pc users, it is awesome, it does have some drawbacks, and I would probably rate it 8.5/10 !
I used to have vista a few month ago but i have some problems getting programms running so i changed to xp and it works fine for me.
