    The old contest thread was crazy and its old. Plus the site is going in a new direction and I honestly think a new thread is best.

    Site: http://www.fatboymagazine.com/

    About: The site is a guys site. Hot chicks, humor of all kind, MMA and sports discussions, gadgets, movies etc...

    I'm looking for simple yet cool design. I'll need 1 main page and 2 sub pages.

    Logo: Use the mascot linked below. Shrink it if needed. I'm thinking mascot to the left. "Fat Boy" to the right and "Magazine" under "Fat Boy". Make it look real cool, I'll be using it to brand the site.

    Header: Something like the header used in http://www.revolutiontheme.com/magazine/ - I want 2 sections (top and bottom) the top will have the links and the bottom will be empty - until I hover over a link and sub links show in the bottom section. The functionality of my idea will obviously be something I do when I code it, but I'd like to see my idea in the design entries.

    Global: 2 column. 970px max width. nav column 250px width

    Style: I like that simple look like http://www.revolutiontheme.com/magazine/ and http://lussumo.com/community/. You notice how everything is boxy and clean. No clutter.

    Color: Mainly white. Red, Grey, Black.

    Main page: blog style

    Sub page 1: listed content - title, thumb, date, etc

    Sub page 2: actual content - title, content, etc

    Contest ends when I find a design I like.

    Layout design winner gets $225 and Logo design winner gets $75. Win both - get $300.

    UPDATE:

    If you'd like, submit the a main page design mock up before you do the sub pages - this way you don't waste your time if I don't like the design....

    Hmmm... thats actually not bad. Try using the colors mention above - but I love concept.

    Ok then here are my concepts for the Logo, Once I know which logo will be used I'll try to design the site, Why? because I want to design something that actually goes with the logo design something that blends with it and matches. ;)

    @ hayshn - looks nice... maybe use a darker red. and/or leave fatboy grey and make magazine black and/or red....

    @ b4db0y - hmm.. not sure if i like the font used. i know i don't like the glow and the box.... thanks though

    @ mimico - hmmm - they're ok... thanks

    @ badmasketa - I like the gradients used but the text is to far apart... and it looks like just text - have to find a way to make it all look good together...

    @ jokomamamita - Ehh.. not what I'm looking for...

    @ Hammer - Ehh.. thats just text.. put some more work into it...
