@life.rocks: Thanks for your submission, but I am not looking for a blog design. Rather I am interested in website design with an index and subpage. Hope this helps.

Yeah I can't see many entries here! People are starting to wise up and hold back from entering such low priced template contests. Good news for us all!

@DaveyBoy & badmasketa: Yeah, I agree that it is too low, but unfortunately that is all the client is willing to pay.

I couldn't help but notice how cheap designs are sold on this forum. It's sad because, the good designers that don't want to work for 5$ per hour, are leaving, and the average to low level designs are flooding in like crazy. Not to say that some are even selling free templates.

Sorry, but all those designers are angry about less paid situation...But nobody seems to talk about someone who doesn't pay me at all or even doesn't comment about my design...that makes me unhappy.....It happened to me.... I think moderator should make a rule that every entry should be commented and winner must be selected....regardless of any situation.....I'm submitting this entry just because he mightybutton pays, unlike those who doesn't or even care to give comment of the design you and me spend hours to make.

I can't deal with if someone in PM'ing and getting his work done by some other means...can I? I think MOD's should look into this kind of situations going around here and take necessary steps.

@Lemezo & badmasketa: I understand your frustration, but I don't want to turn this thread into your complaint center. I have a project I need to finish and unfortunately I can't do anything about the price. You can look at my past projects and see that not only do I pay higher, but I usually pay for two other designs that I WON'T be using. If you want to participate in my future contests I would kindly ask you to create another thread, there is no doubt there are many who feel your pain.

Ok, so you say the client is only willing to pay $50 for this, we really don't have any guarantee that this is true. How much are you getting out of this deal? and don't tell me "Nothing" Ha ha. ;) because we won't believe that. So must be getting something for JUST posting this thread and typing some words, while we as the REAL designers get paid peanuts for this, our time is valuable and believe me $50 is a real offense for the REAL Talented people, of course maybe you'll get some submissions, but consider the quality man, you won't get quality for $50.

Note: This post is just my own point of view, just my own opinion. nothing personal. ;)

Some people don't do this for the money, it can be a good way of getting portfolio material as well as gaining experience. If you are bored on a Saturday afternoon and feel like creating something, then $50 isn't too bad. It's only when it's for your job that you need to worry about the price, and to be honest if you are a designer by trade then your main income or concern should not be the contests forum on DP.

I think we should all step back and just let the contest take place, maybe if there are no entries then he/his client will be forced to pay a more generous amount.
