GOOGLE started to Track Backlinks???????

    Hi friends,

    One my friend noticed that he lost many back links.. Is GOOGLE updating any backlinks????:eek:

    Usually it happens 1 week before PR Update :eek: ..... Have you got or lost any backlinks????? If any one noticed, please share...:eek:

    :eek: Why are you so chocked :D

    Google does not remove any of your backlinks so relax.
    If you want to check your backlinks you should use Yahoo site explorer. Forget Google for that.

    No changes here in the past two weeks for me. Although I've added a bunch of backlinks since then, none showed up. They cut my backlinks before ... then I rebuild ... and it has been stabled for a month now. They did not count new backlinks tho.

    Anika, why did they cut your backlinks before?

    And, no change for me. I built a load of backlinks yesterday. Can't wait for them to show up :)

    Yes I am having changes, 3 days ago i check with link:mydomain and 50% of my backlinks disappeared but some hours later 100% were back. I have noticed changes in the webmaster tools aswell but my pr is still the same!
    I think pr update is very soon.

    I think that what is important is to build more and more backlinks so if ever its time for google update if there is some loses then we can still recover

    You can loose backlinks if Google index less pages from other sites.

    Use google webmaster tool.. they will show you more backlinks along with date and stuff..

    I wouldn't get too worried. The backlinks that are displayed by the google search string link:yourdomain.com are usually only a handful of those that you actually have. It would be impossible for google to show everyone of them, but rest assured they will still be there. The time to worry is if you notice your SERPS ranking drop as this means that you need to do more link building
