Get the google toolbar along with firefox. Enable Page Rank in the google toolbar. View your blog. Page rank will be a green bar. Put your mouse over it and it will tell you your page rank.

Otherwise tell us the URL of your blog and we will tell you.

Visit other people's blog and write good comments and this way you will get lots of backlinks. I do it all the time and thus my blog is just 45 days old but I have got Google PR of 5 and with thousands of backlinks. Take a look at my blog and secondly you must put original and quality content too.

 

One good way to increase bacclinks, is through writing article, with you're link in the bio.

Those links have a rel="nofollow" set and hence donot contribute towards PR.

 

Right on exactly right, blog commenting is a waste of time.

You want to submit to directories allowing free inclusion.. Have a look around the threads here..

Other than what has already been said, you could exchange links, but inclusion in the right directories would be better.

Forums and comments in blogs shouldn't be overlloked either.
