Do numerous searching affect my page rank? To increase the page rank i use to search my site in google and click on it. Will this negatively affect my page rank?
Why would you say in such a way? I don’t think that will have any effect at all. I don’t see any reason they want to penalize you based on that reason
Many have postulated that Google is using user-behavior to influence SERPS.. so based on that assumption, if many people were selecting your site after searching on a particular term, then staying on your site (i.e. not bouncing) and reading multiple pages at your site, this might help Google to determine that your site is a quality site, and therefore possibly rank higher.. In order to gather this data, your site would probably have to be using Analytics, and/or the user would have to use the Google Toolbar (why else do you think Google PAYS to get people to use FF with the toolbar?) ...of course, nobody knows for sure if this is true... ....Wont do anything for your PR though..
i'm sure the boys at the GooglePlex are smart enough to realize that it's you doing all the searching.. as to your original question: it wont help your PR
I think, if only you do it by yourself, nothing will happen. But if millions of people do this together,,,,, ohh, you already have traffic
I don't think so. I think it is the computer doing it not humans. So it will have to help me. When does google balck list a domain.
Uhh.. Yeah.. who do you think programmed that computer? Do you really think you are smarter than Google and that they forgot to setup their program to check for people trying to game their system? 'cmon, think again.
I doubt it would effect it. it is a fact that part of the PR calculation takes into account traffic to your site, but this is just one of many factors and so you doing a few extra searches is unlikely to influence that. Also Google will record your IP address and if it sees thousands of searches from the same IP address they it will know you are trying to trick the system. I'd spend you time bulding back links as these are much more valuable.
