Is It Possible To Add Adsense Directly To Blogger HTML Template?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by bad_bob00, Jul 17, 2008.

    Hi,

I've got a question regarding using Adsense on Blogger. At the moment I'm using the on-page Adsense setup, but I was just wondering if it is possible to add Adsense directly to the blogger html templates?

    Thanks for any help

Yeah! You can add that. But, why do you want to do that? To place Search or Referral ad units? If so, then, you can select 'HTML/JAVASCRIPT' as a page element and place the code in that.

However, the final answer, 'Yes, You can add AdSense to the Blogger XML'(I mean, in the 'Edit HTML' tab, you will find your template's XML).

    Good Luck!

I put adsense in the "add HTML/Javascript" box on my pages. I don't use the "add adsense" feature. You could also put it directly into the HTML code by going to layout -> edit HTML and do it there if you want.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Just wondered what are the benefits of using adsense directly on the template/add html/javascript box? As opposed to using the Blogger on screen way of adding Adsense?

    Thanks

None whatsoever! I can't say I've used blogger recently, but they won't be offering anything special. I'd imagine you'd have more versatility managing them on your own anyway.

I've tried adding a HTML/Javascript element to my blog layout, and then pasting my Adsense code in, but when I go to view my blog it just shows a blank space.

Any idea why the adverts aren't displaying?

I use html/javascript box. The benifit is you can directly put ads from Google account and image ads which you can't through "add Adsense". Also You can manage channels and paste channel ads if you use "HTML/Javascript" box.
