House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush 'a total failure'

President Bush has been a "total failure" in everything from the economy to the war to energy policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.

"You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject," Pelosi replied. She then tsk-tsked Bush for "challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again.

The real question is, who doesn't think he's a total failure?

Likewise, a lot of the people who voted for him regret it precisely because of his failures.

Bush was very quick with his response to 9/11. He got that right at least.

The Patriot act came 30 days after.

Strange, as he's late on everything that helps the country, and early on everything that screws the country.

Although Bush is not the brightest bulb in the House, Pelosi and Congress have had a lower approval rating for the last year.
At this point, Pelosi has to be the worst (***by far**) speaker of the House.
I can't say that about Bush as president.

A lot also voted for him based off of fear, not that they actually supported him ;)

But yes, many who used to be DIE HARD supporters no longer support him.

I had to vote no, I am pretty sure a lot of what he has done that I might consider a failure was according to plan and so technically his success.

I had to go with yes. He's failed at every business endeavor he attempted before going into politics, and has failed at virtually everything he wanted to accomplish in office.

Although Pelosi calling him out on it, especially in the context of Congress "cleaning up his mess", is definitely the pot calling the kettle black. This congress is just as much a failure as Bush, and the Democrats have failed to fulfill any of the promises made last election cycle.

I think he has done a great job. Not the best but pretty good. It is too bad that he puts up with a lot crap instead of defending himself.

You are in the very small minority.

Even Hitler and Saddam had a small minority willing to support him no matter what ;)

No idea who Pelosi is but I do agree, Bush is a total failure..
He seems friendly though and I think he'd make a great neighbor but he knows nothing about ruling a country. It's sad to see how a president can turn one of the strongest countries in the world to one of the weakest.
