anyone here knows anything about buying email addresses? is it a good ideea or a bad ideea? do you know a good place to buy from? thank you paul
lol...that's why I wanted to ask first...to see if there are any ways of getting email lists without the risk spamming.... trust me ...I don't want to put my site at risk
only reason one need bulk email addresses is to spam. no one will sell opted in email list as they are not permited to do so
Start an opt-in mailing list on your site with a program like aweber. It takes some time to build a large list but once you do, but it is well worth it in the long run!
why would you want a list of emails of people you dont know who they are and what they are interested in ....
Buying email list is a NO NO. If you want list building do it the right way that wouldn't annoy people. You can use double opt-in process. We are building business not playing around with real people. Wish you all the best
The easiest thing to do would be to find a website in the same niche as yours with an all opt in list. You would then see if they sell advertising on frequent news letters, or mailings they send out. Buying an outright list normally has problems, and is most always for spamming purposes. However, targeted partnerships with similar websites can have better results, and if your product is good or whatever, is just seen as a recommendation and endorsement, rather than spam.
I like the idea...but it might prove difficult to find someone willing to do that....I wouldnt if someone ask me to do that.. I will give it a try anyway. Thank you
I would highly recommend building a list from the ground-up. Buying e-mails is risky. People don't subscribe to a specific newsletter or submit their e-mail address only to be bombarded with unsolicited junk.
There are Safelists already in existence with double-optins. They have free and paying "pro" memberships. These comprise of marketers whose primary purpose is to market their own product, service, site, etc., even their own traffic exchange affiliate links and what not. But the point is, that even though they have in common their purpose, they are also given incentives to read the emails sent, and many marketers do find some successes there. This is not spamming. In addition, there are list building companies that assist guiding you in the CANN SPAM Compliance. There is a right way and a wrong way, a smart way and a time-wasting way, to do email marketing. Just because you need to reach people by email, does not mean you have to spam. And in addition, you should know the difference between what is and what is not spam. Optins, your own lists from people who got something from you, these are not spam. If you need so many leads that you have to buy them, buy them from a leads sales house which sells opted ins. Some are reputable and some are not so you have to do your homework. I once was given a batch of email leads from someone in a company upline I had joined within this past year. I was not told where the addresses came from. They all had their IP's and time and date stamps on them supposedly showing when and from where they opted in. Then I checked, and the IP's had no correlation to the people and I had to discard of the list. It was hairy. Now, I don't do any email marketing out of safelists because it is what they call it, "safe". There are so many out there. I don't think that discussing Safelists is any problem here. But I've also been putting a bit of a slowdown on my own marketing while I do some learning that I need as well, and I am promoting the site that has recently launched and where I wrote about in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=8549987&postcount=1 Serious Training for internet Marketing. Business Neutral, and a place to learn and work with others.
