If you have lots of sites, what FTP client do you use?

    Hi,

I have over 15 sites and am constantly jumping from one site to another doing updates. Sometimes uploading the same file to different sites.

I am looking for a light weight FTP client that is fast and efficient as well as bug free. In the past I have used to use LeechFTP which was perfect apart from the bugs and the fact that it's no longer developed. Now I've switched to SmartFTP which is okay but not perfect sometimes frustrating with bloated graphics and toolbars.

As web developers I see the requirements being:

    - Fast loading
    - Low memory footprint
    - Streamlined for small files
    - up/download queue
    - up/downloads with multiple threads

Basically I'm looking to save as much time as possible, I want as little clicks as possible to get my file(s) from my computer to my servers. Any tips recommendations on what you use or have experienced will be great!

Cute FTP Latest version is the one I use. It has a site manager that can be exported and imported from different computers. Hence backups are what I look at before I choose a software that handles website logins :)

I have been using CoreFTP for over 2 years. They have a free version and very fast loading. One of the best ftp software in the market.

Don't know If FileZilla support your requirements, but I personally still recommend it.
As I see CoreFTP maybe the most suitable choose for you, CuteFTP also great if you had some extra money to buy them.

I manage almost 100 Web-Sites, and I find Dreamweaver's integrated FTP and Site Manager to be fantastic. Although Dreamweaver is not lightweight or cheap!

Try Transmit FTP, their cueing system is great.

LeechFTP was absolutely amazing and I wish it was still around.

    CuteFTP(Paid), FileZilla(Free), Cyberduck(Free, OS X Only), and Dreamweaver's FTP(Paid) are all very good.

I'd vote for CuteFTP Pro. It comes with a great graphical user interface(GUI) and easy for beginners to learn and use.
