He friends I wanna know that can sending invoice (Paypal) stop chargeback ? I have heard that invoicing is better option to get payment of more than $100. Thanks in advance!
When there is a charge back, it is basically saying you did not deliver on what you sold. The invoice is simply a bill. Paypal already knows that the money was exchanged, it is just trying to determine if the product was delivered. I always ask the buyer to send a email stating that they received whatever it is that I sold them if it is a higher priced transaction. This allows me to send it directly to Paypal if a charge back occurs.
Paypal always ask for some form of proof of shipment. If you forward an email from the buyer that states he/she has received the domain name. It should provide the proof they need. I luckily have never had a charge back but I always keep the receipt email just in case.
There are at least two sets of documents you need when it comes to a off-site sale, typically the Invoice to show the description of what is sold and to whom it is sold to and the Shipping Documents which would show that the product has been shipped. Without the signature and acknowledgement of the customer, it would not be possible to proof that the customer actually receives the item. The Shipping Documents merely states that you did all you are supposed to do in shipping the item. Of course, if you totally have no documentations to the sale then you will not be able to have any leg to stand when it comes to a chargeback.
I think that it gives hopes but do not guarantee nothing.... Because that do not depend on you or even Paypal...
Well not really, you have to have some kind of confirmation from the customer stating he/she has received the item to show that as a proof to paypal.
This doesn´t work out. They don´t take this as proof. You can´t provide them the proof they want if you sell digital goods or services. Unfortunately sometimes they don´t even take signed recieving letter as proof just because the housenumber don´t match. I lost some k$ because of this
According to above posts it appears that confirmation from the buyer can help . Has anybody used this method before when a charge back occurred ?
This is why another method should be used instead of PayPal when dealing with larger transactions. Check out escrow.com or something similar if a lot of money is involved.
I think that should help , but it would be better if you google it bit more ..... to get confirmations
Thanks for the advice, but this has been years ago and I don´t use PP anymore for recieving amounts bigger then around 30$ (from unknown people)
Nothing can "stop" a chargeback per say, short of just not selling online. A chargeback is a consumers legal right. You can do many things mitigate your losses but there is no silver bullet.
