    I am wondering why you were banned? What kind of video did you upload?

    ========================================

    To make some money off your youtube account:

    First upload only videos that you own. This means videos that you made, you produced and you own all the rights to. Uploading videos you ripped off a DVD will get you BANNED!!!!!!

    Second Sign up for a google adsense account.

    Third Sign up for a youtube partner account - http://www.youtube.com/partners

    Fourth link the partner account and the adsense account

    Fifth Follow the instruction in your partner account on how to put banners on your videos.

    =============== THEN ==================

    Embed the video from youtube into your blog or website and put a google banner just under the video. You should have an ad on youtube and then a couple of ads on your site. The streaming video on your site will cause the viewers to stay on your site longer.

    Here is a live example from one of my sites - http://www.survivalforum.us/review-of-the-coleman-exponent-tasman-x32-mummy-sleeping-bag/

    And here is the same video that is in the article, but on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH-ljX5wIoM

    On the youtube page, just to the right of the video - that banner is linked to my adsense account.

    Making money off your youtube videos is easy. But make sure you upload content that you own all the rights to. Its not own 90% or the rights, its not own 99% of the rights - its either your video and your property or do NOT upload it. The people that complain about getting their accounts deleted are usually the ones that upload videos that do not belong to them.

    I think from your original post, you're approaching it backwards. You want to make money, so you're creating a video series. Instead, create the video series first, and once you have good content, the money will come to you. Pursue what you love and the success will follow.

    I think this is the best advice I've read so far ... very true.

    I'm not worried about things from a promotion, etc. stand point - but I wish I could go into detail, but, it's just not "ready" yet. Basically, I'm recording the everyday life of a group of *******s ... car rides, sitting around, casual convorsation and making a compelling story out of said video.

    Should be funny ... at least we think it's funny?

    But I just trying to think of best ways to capitalize on this, that way I can focus on using Metacafe (example) to host videos that I put on my site since views count for dollars ... things like that.

    If you can create a popular series then try selling T shirts and the likes.
