Markethealth.com AKA Joebucks.com screwed up

I've been an affiliate with them for more than 2 years. As many other affiliate programs they've been gradually putting the screws on their affiliates.
But this was bearable until a few days ago I and a bunch of my affiliates got one and the same email that their accounts are scheduled for deletion because we didn't update their shops and because duplicate content is allegedly killing all of us.
I never ever met such an impudence!
When i downloaded their shops and investigated the code I found this robots.txt file with the following contents:
which in plain seo language tells all the search engines spiders "Do not spider my index page!"
What's worse is what is located in the Readme.txt file attached to the shop archive:

This completely ruins the whole bunch of my sites optimized for free traffic.
I send a couple of emails to them, but in 3 days I didn't get any reply.

    Wow, it sounds crazy
They should give a different content to your sites.

Doing so they could easily loose all affiliates.
I wish we all joined together to withstand them more effectively.
Those people seem to loose good sense thinking they could do anything which often precedes total downfall.

The idea is good. Internet is overloaded by duplicate websites. But it should be said in terms and conditions of affiliate program clearly.

Then why scare affiliate with emails "your account is scheduled for deletion"? My content has been around for a year and not got banned since I changed it before I uploaded the shops to my servers.
I can just place direct links to corresponding branded sites with my id, that's it.

There's also one more tricky question, once we started this subject. I have more than 40 affiliates under me, but the strange thing is that from time to time some of them just dropped out from my tree for no reason and without any notice.
And those who dropped were affiliates who made sales!
None of those not making sales ever dropped from my structure!!!
The same thing happened to the affiliates of my affiliates.
You said it was a tech problem... in one of the emails I sent you a year ago.
I wonder if it was just a mere coincidence...

I can confirm that affiliates do disappear sometimes.
Duplicate content of course is a bad thing for SEO but I changed my templates 2 years ago and they worked for me ok. I was #1 on one of the keywords in Google with my template (very weak keyword but still). And now what? I must change it to disallow Google indexing? As I understand JoeBucks now urges us to make doors and black-seo to attract visitors. I think this is not as bad as we think :) Anyway for me it's not very important because I didn't earned much there and I'd better pay more attention to other affiliate programs. But if affiliate programs will start deleting accounts (and thus deleting sub-affiliates with earnings) this would be the worst possible PR for JoeBucks.

Dude, I am feeling just like you! For example if a visitor visits their website and than go to your website and buy from you, because your copy is better you won't get the commission. This is a big shit and that's why they don't want to have affiliates with templates and they want to be before you in the SE.

Well I can see the dup content affecting SEO, but who's SEO? The top affiliate they have? Certainly all the rest won't be ranked unless they are changed, so it really shouldn't be a big deal to markethealth. Any decent aff marketer just uses the template for the layout, and adds his own text for seo purposes.

Templates do just fine though for PPC.

Delisting affiliates for not doing something sure is a way to piss people off, that's for sure.

Is that the great migration I hear of affiliate stomping hooves leaving because they've been pissed off?

Yes, markethealth is de-grading time to time. The worst thing about them is "first person who sends the person to their site gets the commission, not the last one". Bullshit. I read it and run like hell.

Right, better use own shop affiliate programs where you keep all the customers for life and what's even better they tell their friends and you get the commission from them too.

Mmmm I think Market Health is a decent network, but I was always put off by their restriction against email marketing (opt-in). They recently changed this, but you're system has to get approved first before you're allowed to use it.

Mate, after a week people gave bad rating for markethealth, why you never showed up anymore? Well, it seems markethealth is a poor partner to work with
