does anyone have experience selling a domain name at sedo, afternic, or snapnames? which one would you recommend? also, the domain name i am thinking of selling is d-b.net, any ideas how much it should fetch? i haven't been paying much attention to domain name prices, my field is programming mostly. note this is not an auction thread. i am at the information-gathering stage.
Where you ultimately decide to sell it depends on you. Each service is going to offer different things.
All are decent places to sell domains. I can tell you hands down sedo will give you the most money for that domain name. Unfortunately they will take a 10% or $50 (whichever is higher). That means if your domain sells for $100 (They will take $50 away leaving you with $50). If you feel certain that your domain will sell for more than $500 sell it on sedo, if not sell it on digitalpoint (no listing fee). Good Luck!
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated! oh great another one actually, i like moniker.com, good site. nice and uncomplicated.
http://www.3character.com/priceguide.html id say sedo would be your best bet if you can get an initial bidto auction
thanks for the link! it says $225... hmmm. i think i can get more than that, d-b can mean 'database'. i have been looking around at sedo. getting the intial bid is the hard part isn't it? it would be nice if they had a "newly listed" section... but it seems people have to actively search for new listings.
get a friend to put minimum bid at 60 and click start auction, though you have to be willing to accept whatever outcome. also use their parking first, much lower commission.
