    Not really, phpBBFM is a problematic modded phpBB2 package that has old mods and current mods installed at the same time and does suffer security issues probably due to the amount of mods added. It is free to download, as phpBB is free anyway but then you had to pay for support. $25! Total rip off really asking for donations for server and development costs. Now looking for $600 per month! Unbelievable! Development is done by the mod authors and phpBB themselves and it does not cost an arm and a leg to host a site.

    Anyway phpBB2 is now getting put to rest by phpBB.com

    FullymoddedphpBB3 which has no connections with the above is totally free and does not seem to be just adding mods for the sake of it.
