I noticed that some people say that they wanna save budget by not upgrading to VISTA and just wait for the new windows Se7en which will be available next year.

You might need to quadraple up your budget because you can't upgrade by just buying the OS on DVD. You need to buy a new set of multi-touch screen monitor.

I doubt it. Windows 7 may be touch screen ready but will still support normal keyboard and mouse input.

It will support keyboard and mouse; but you still need a touch screen monitor otherwise you can't use it.

yes you can use it, its no use having mouse and keyboard support then?

yes it will be touch screen for those who have the touch screen monitor .. but for others it will still be mouse/keyboard.

Look, Microsoft is bad, but they're not retarded. It will work without a touch screen.

I don't want upgrade because a big possibility that the PC will crash. Anyway, I rather buy the whole thing, with the Touch-Screen D6. I am amazed. I hope it would be better after years.

I'm not planning to upgrade. I've made the decision to go back to Mac. I can't take MS anymore. Had endless troubles over the past few days.

Microsoft is bad, but they'd look worse for letting users Install new Windows OS on antiquated PCs. The same reason why most people are saying Vista sucks.

    No need dude.
And why don't you upgrade to Vista anyway?
It is a good OS, the best ever infact, next only to PC Linux OS.
    As per this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Seven
    It Is OPTIONAL.
And Vista is better than Leopard.

pretty dumb if an OS only supported touch screens, since most people dont have that technology in thier home ...

Who cares about Windows Seven. It's still at least 1 year away.
For webmasters even WinXP is more than enough.
