off page is building up back links to your site from articles, directories, social bookmarking, press release, blog creation, blog comment posting, link building ...
Yahoo Answers uses rel="nofollow" in their links. Not too sure about Yedda (never heard of them) though.
dan thanks for the help so lets rearrange it again to be clear for all, i will just need an examples in some points to use this thread as one of my resources, also i will use given information in the seminar so i will have to give an example for each point : SEO Off-Page Factor Rearranged : 1) One-way link give an example for how to get one-way link 2) Directory submission very good infor's in the link . 3) Link exchange 4) Link building 5) Blog Posting 6) Forums posting 7) SE submissions if its only for indexing purpose i think posing a link in another blog can make it faster to index. 8) News Posting Traffic (not SEO factor) methods: 1) RSS Submission so it helps SE to find more contents ? dosent this means good thing to SEO ? 2) Video Submissions & Viral Marketing 3) Social Bookmarking like digg ? i have no expereince about this and how much this affect in SEO 4) Press release. i agree i just need to make it clear , does this means paying for posting my link in lets say a journal ? things you think its not working: 1) Article submission i still cant get the point of why its worthless ! 2) Classifieds do you have a previous expereince about links from CraigsList ! not worth for SE any Classifieds links ? 3)three-way link exchange why you adive to not do it? 4) blog commenting (do follow) is that because of anchor text used which is my name or because of the nature of blogs comments links that its not worth much to SE ?
Sorry, been slammed with work. Give me a few and I'll get back to you (I have three reports to yet write out).
Some say it is a spam, i don't think it would be a good strategy, IMHO! But can anyone enlighten me about this?
