With free I mean the organic results in google and yahoo!. So if you have links to your site, your pages will automaticly get crawled to come in the organic results. So nothing to submit to. That's totally true Nope. Affiliate doesn't necessary have to do with search engines. E.g. an affiliate link doesn't have to pass link juice and won't get indexed in the serps. And email marketing is also totally separated from the search results. What you mean is that seo, sea, Affiliate marketing, Email marketing, PPC, word of mouth marketing and who knows what more, is a part of internet marketing. And even sem is a part of internet marketing but more focussed on getting known/ getting a higher penetration or how you want to call it. Simply said: If it doesn't involve a search engine, it won't be search engine marketing.

This is not exactly true. It depends who is doing the SEO and SEM. I have tested the same keywords in google serps and adwords and get better results in the serps. It is also MUCH cheaper to go with SEO.
