Hey guys, Do you think I could/will get penalized for keyword stuffing for this URL: http://www.foremostgroups.com/home_furniture/patio_furniture/veranda_classics/patio_furniture.html The repetition of the word 'furniture' wasn't my intention, but i just realized it... Should I try to change this? Thanks for any input...
i'm not sure why you say this page is keyword stuffed with the word furniture. out of 187 visible text, keyword "furniture" appears only twice giving you 1.06% keyword density. looks fine to me
You might not penalize what I think.? I have read the forum threads. Most of the people discussed about the change of google algorithm.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters I don't think so that you will be penalize for that but it definitely looks ugly. Instead try to use short urls so that it will be easy to promote it. Cool Mate and Enjoy your Day Dashanan Sharma
So, it doesn't seem like I will be penalized, but maybe this isn't the best approach... hahhhahaa. I appreciate your honesty. I'm targeting the phrase 'patio furniture' for this page, so maybe I need to use the phrase a couple more times (without stuffing). What I was specifically talking about was this portion of the URL: /home_furniture/patio_furniture/veranda_classics/patio_furniture.html this looks and feels stupid to me... maybe I'll change it to something better or more simple. Thanks a lot for the help everyone.
I would say try not to go over the 10% keyword density or it will look like a spam. Hmmm...your site looks ok to me. I can't find repetition of keywords and certainly there's nothing to worry about.
All terms looks ok to me.. You may want to add a couple more terms to <meta name="keywords" content="veranda, foremost, patio furniture, patio set, outdoor furniture" (not .. furniture)
Thanks guys. What about in these tags: <li><a title="Bonami Outdoor Furniture" onMouseOver="document.getElementById('set').src='images/bonami.jpg';"><img src="images/small_bonami.jpg" alt="Bonami Patio Furniture"><br>Bonami</a></li> <li><a title="Camden Outdoor Furniture" onMouseOver="document.getElementById('set').src='images/camden.jpg';"><img src="images/small_camden.jpg" alt="Camden Patio Furniture"><br>Camden</a></li> etc, etc, etc... They all repeat title="[name] patio furniture" and alt="[name] patio furniture" almost 20 times. That's something that caught my attention - I'm wondering if I should change that...
^^nah... it doesn't sound good to me. Try to revise it- minimize the keywords coz it doesn't look natural.. remember: too much of something has negative effects
i kind of agree - it seems shady to me, so i figure that it must be... every other person (in a few different forums) said that it's fine the way it is though. i don't know - i may tweak it and clean it up a little.
