Hi, I have many pages, each page have info about another sites. I have hyper link and using "nofollow" but I also have a text with just a text - for example: http://www.superduper.com But without "a href" hyper link, it's just a text. I know that Spiders some times read it as a link, should I nofollow? IF so, how to?
The only way to do a "nofollow" is to include it into an anchor tag. Plain text has no properties associated with it.
moneyMoose and PaysToLiveGreen are correct. Its not a link unless is is part of an <A> tag. http //www,somesite,com is just text <a name="SiteURLAsPlainText" id="SiteURLAsPlainText">http://www,somesite,com</a> is an anchor, but without an href is not a link. This is more commonly called a bookmark and is used for linking to a specific part of the page. <a href="http://www,somesite,com">http://www,somesite,com</a> is an actual bona fide link. This is the only time you would need to worry about setting the rel attribute equal to nofollow.
Hi, Thanks for the info again mate, helping me a lot. To bad I can't add you REP again as I gave you all ready last night
