Pepperjam Partners with eBay Partner Network

Pepperjam--- I was recently approved for ebay with you. I need an ebay feed. It doesn't look like it is available yet with pepperjam. Can you help me here? I am emailing your ebay manager about this 2, but a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about you, but it's really hard for me to do much without a feed. This shouldn't be a big thing for Pepperjam to set up. Right?

We are currently working with both BANS and phpBay - not sure if you are willing to work through them?

Yes - we have plans for integrating eBay's International programs.

We are also working to provide access to the eBay API.

You can use the API now just get a key from http://developer.ebay.com and instead of using their link format use the pepperjam one I posted earlier in the thread. Pretty trivial for anyone who has enough know-how to be hitting the API from any scripting language. But until PJN supports international clicks *cough* I would geo-target your links so US clicks go to PJN and your international clicks go to their respective programs in ePN.

Thanks for the heads up on geo-targeting. I totally overlooked this aspect.

 

I'm Happy with PJ. I don't think I will be changing any ePN sites to PJ but I will build them 50/50 from now on.

I guess I don't understand why every ePN affiliate wouldn't be on PJN. The bottom line is you make more, no matter what tier you are on. Even if you only get 2 ACRUs a month, wouldn't you rather get $26 than $25 each? I mean money is money, dont u want to make the most you can?

Nothing stops you from using ePN and PJ together. In my opinion the smartest affiliate would send all US traffic to PJN and all international traffic to ePN.

 

The RSS Feeds and API access are still as they were when the program was in CJ. I have been having no trouble accessing the RSS API using the following link calling structure...

Just insert your search terms where it I have: satitle=vintage+guitar

I quoted this for people looking at the end of this thread and to make sure people creating links urlencode the eBay deep link portion of the url. Your links will not track properly if the ebay portion is not urlencoded.

Additionally, if you want impression tracking you will need to create the code for the 1x1 pixel tracking image and place it in your affiliate link.

Using all of the above, I finally have my eBay stats back to where they were before the switch from CJ.

I am excited to see if I can get back to my pre epn earning levels with Pepperjam. I signed up for Pepperjam and was accepted quickly. However, I am still pending for the Ebay program in Pepperjam. How long does this part usually take?
